The Crew is a “Jen-based” streaming video add-on for Kodi.  It is both a standard multi-scraper utilizing Trakt and Real-Debrid, AND a collection of curated playlists and one-clicks.

I like their add-on description… “Many come, many go.  The true and dedicated are here.  Enjoy Your Entertainment.

Here is a quick peek at The Crew’s main menu…

  1. Have been wondering if there was a tutorial on how to optimize the system settings within “the Crew” add-on specifically and other add-ons in general. There are a lot of options within the various categories and I haven’t found a single source telling me what the options mean or what the ramifications are if something is switched on/off. Some are choices seem intuitive but most to me are not. Thank you for your time. I enjoy your site very much.

  2. I too have wondered like Ron Martz about if there are any tutorials out there for Kodi settings as well as the addons and all the configurations. Because they must have particular uses or they wouldn’t be on there. Your thoughts? Thank you, and I also appreciate your website as I find good use with the information you provide.

  3. I don’t use torrent so I turned those providers off.
I see after an update that they have returned when I search for a video source but cannot toggle it out in the settings any longer. Can you help with that. I really don’t want them listed & it seems someone has taken that choice away.
    Can you help? Any suggestions?

  4. Once again I come to you, to inquire as why I do not have the choice to turn OFF Torrent providers? I don’t use them, and would appreciate having the choice to remove them from searching for provider streaming lists.
I would appreciate having that choice returned.

  5. Thank you to whomever gave me back the choice to remove the Torrent providers. Most appreciated. Stay safe. V

    1. Vicky, I’m not sure what’s going on with your Kodi. Is the Torrent option disappearing and reappearing for you in The Crew add-on? I don’t think anyone is changing it back and forth, so not sure what’s going on for you. But I’m not the developer of The Crew add-on, so I can’t make any changes.

  6. Hi Nathan, it seems after some updates it disappears, leaving me with no option to take out the torrent choices. Not sure why that would happen but it did reappear, later, so I was able to clear them.
I’m just a chicken to use torrents even though I have a VPN. I might get brave one day but then I wonder if that would leave me open to viruses, so I just stream.
Really appreciate your reply, if you ever find out why they do that, ask them not to pls lol.
Be safe, these are troubling times. Thanks again.☮️

  7. Hi Nathan. I just renewed my RD, and now have not been able to stream for rd choices. I set my rd choices in magenta, turned off torrent sites, free sites are in white. The only choice that comes up since I renewed rd is free ones I white. I can’t even find where to update or relog in to rd in the crew tools. Have even changed cdn server selections to CloudFlare in Rd acct.
Nothing works. What changed since last time? Why can’t I get Rd? I even turned on torrent sites but doesn’t come up either.
There’s no help out there for Kodi any longer and I dont enough to solve these problems. Can’t you help please?

  8. Sent you a long email trying to explain my problem. So I uninstalled everything and as that other guy said. He got an Error 403, I cannot add TheCrew thru your site at all. It’s dead!!!! Help

  9. Something is wrong, I tried installing from github installer and tried from your repo. It installs then updates then disables itself and every time I enable the repo it disables itself seconds later?

      1. I see the login to the website from this page still has not been fixed.

Does anyone know if the CREW addon has been fixed yet or is it still not working due to that battle with tvaddons?

I never tried reinstalling it after many attempts only to find the addon doesn’t show on the device after I did.

          1. I followed your directions and a couple reboots, disabling and uninstalling indigo then installing f*ck indigo uninstaller, on one device it seems indigo has to reinstall itself everytime, on another it just waits for the updates before it loads.

So I did turn off auto update for the items I know are from tvaddons like github installer and so far so good although I have a question about venom. Does it have to use URLResolve or can it use ResolveURL because I think that updates and could lead to tvaddons being reinstalled which I had happen twice so far.

I need to do a clean fresh build but spent so much time customizing my menus that I hate doing it. You should do a tutorial for how to use supershortcuts to build a custom menu system. I will play around with it to see what I can figure out. Seems my tutorials I’ve made youtube has been labeling them as sensitive and harmful content like adult content and people can’t see them unless logged in.

Anyway the crew has been working for me EXCEPT for the adult section.
I go to the menu setting navigation and put password “lol” without quotes in, it automatically makes it all CAPS, I go back to the main menu and there is no additional menu item? does it simply not work anymore?

Also in the Ghost porn repo movies section is there a browser or you just have to open each one which is just numbered and figure out what it is once it starts playing?

And lastly do you have any knowledge about all the additional apps included in The Crew they have to install as far as their working condition and what’s in their and if they’re worth a look?

            Thanks!

  10. Download from zip is fine but then it doesn’t show in repository….I can search in add ons, enable, update, but the file isn’t there. What did I break?

    1. ND, I’m having a hard time understanding your situation. Where is the problem?
      – Add File Source using URL
      – Go to “Install from zip file”
      – Select File Source
      – Select Zip File
      – Go to “Install from repository”
      – Select the repo
      – Select the category
      – Select the add-on
      – Install

      1. Having same problem he was trying to describe above. Once I installed from the zip file and tried to go to “install from repository” and find the “The crew” it’s not showing up there. Any idea what deal is? I have done this a couple times in the past on other devices and never a problem.

        1. Guys, my repo file source was having some issues earlier and I fixed them. Please give it a try again and see if that helps. If it’s still not working, try uninstalling and reinstalling the repo.

    2. Same issue here, i used github to download, install and reboot ftv stick and can’t even search to find it.

  11. I have installed your URL and installed the latest Zip version of The crew. It say it’s installed but when I go in to install from repository, it’s not on the list. Re installed it twice and it’s updated but never on the list of repositories..?

  12. Good Morning Nathan, hopefully you are well and staying safe… we have been snowed in for the last week and watching more tv than usual… but I’ve run in to a problem with The Crew.. it seems like Trakt is not syncing with The Crew, It use to work great and sync with my Trakt account but now… it to to collection and the “Working” screen is going around then, just stops… it seems like the same thing with some of the other choices as well….. Is Trakt and The Crew working for you? I have not changed anything in my system or software that would affect the Crew.

    Thanks for your help.

  13. Finally got this addon working perfectly and my others and then Kodi 19 Matrix breaks most of my addons don’t work, including my skin Aeon Nox 10, yeah I had a version that worked with 18.9

I am trying desperately to try and rollback, is that a feature in kodi?

I’m just going to do a restore on one of my sticks to try and salvage it, this sucks. And the one time I didn’t do a backup before an apk upgrade.

  14. YIRMASTER I feel your pain…. did you get it squared away? I had the same thing happen to me and just moved on… going back would have been just as much trouble. By the way ,is there any up date on the Crew porting to 19, its a great add on..

    1. Yeah I rolled it back because I keep backups on my laptop, so just did a restore, except it must have kept some of the upgrade files because some addons say not compatible with this version of Kodi even though I rolled it back. And now Crew stopped working again, I think Crew “may” have updated to work with latest version I’m still on 18.9 because of all the problems with 19 but crew no longer works with 18.9 wtf…

I’m going to grab a fresh FTV stick and only load a few addons, this time without Venom or others that use TVaddons which seem to keep messing with Crew addon by deleting it. THat is the problem most of you were having with installing and not being able to see it after downloading and installing it. You had to disable all Tvaddons and disable auto update for them, then install F*tvaddon which automatically removes it every time firestick starts up and reinstalls Crew. Yeah such a pain in the ass tvaddons…

Anyway I don’t want to use tvaddons URLresolver, only the ResolveURL instead along with openresolver and real-debrid
