I’m trying to solve the issue with playing large files over WiFi router (>6GB).
My TV box has 4GB RAM (X96MAX).
Tried to set the memorysize to 536870912 (also tried 128mb-256mb). I’m OK to wait for awhile couple of times when watching, but not every 1-5 minutes.
Set buffermode to 1 (also tried 0).
Set readfactor to 1.0 (also tried 4.0), but the buffering issue still appears every 1-3 minutes. Experimenting with memorysize param and buffermode haven’t helped so far.
Placed the advancedsettings.xml file in Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/ folder as instructed.
Kodi version installed: 18.2 (32-bit downloaded from the web-site).
How to make sure the Kodi player is using this file at all and is there a way to solve the buffering issue through pre-buffering of large chunk to the memory couple of times when watching the movie (6-20gb) shared on Windows PC?

Replied there. I’m using local WiFi connection to play the file shared on Windows PC on local network.
Wired ethernet is not an option neither for PC, nor for TV box.
