The $50 Fire Stick is the normal one. It only does 1080p HD which is perfect for your TV. The hardware specs for on the low end of a box running Kodi, but I find it to be occasionally slow but mostly sufficient.
The $69 Fire Stick is the 4K version. In addition to supporting 4K video, it also is just faster because it has upgraded CPU and RAM.
Installing Kodi on a Fire Stick is not the same as installing Kodi on any Android device because the Fire Stick doesn’t have the Google Play Store. So, you have to install it using these instructions which is not too difficult at all…
