Hi, I have setup my xbox and my home router (wired) to have my Xbox in a DMZ and have gotten my public IP from Google. I go away on business a lot and thought this would be the perfect solution, however, every time I connect, I continuously get the \’network quality\’ error in the bottom left corner of the screen and experience horrific lag in games. It\’s basically unplayable. Is it just something to do with these hotel network connections? I have also used my mobile hotspot on LTE and still get the same thing. Just curious if there is anything else I can do. Thanks!

I would expect it to not work well over the average hotel wifi.  Usually hotel wifi is pretty slow since you’re sharing a single Internet connection with everyone in the building.
LTE should be fast enough but depends on your carrier and signal quality.  Do a speed test while connected to your hotspot to see what kind of speeds you’re getting.
I think you’ll need at least 10mbps download speed on the PC side.  Also, don’t forget, you’ll need at least 10mbps upload speed on the Xbox side at home.  You may need to check that.  Often times, the upload speed for residential Internet access is much slower than its download speed.
