Kodi Library

Question

Is there way to use one library with different addons that uses the add to library feature.
Basically the problem I have right now. Every time say a addon stop working because its no longer supported I switch to a fork off it.  For instance say Covenant which was my go to Addon, also for my Library integration but now that its no longer supported I use incursion before was Placenta, anyway  when I click on a Movie or TV show in the library it pulls up the the previous addon (covenant) to play the show because that's the addon I use to add the show to the library.  Is there a way if I click on a library file it call Incursion instead of Covenant?  Maybe there's a file to edit to change the pluging.video.covenant .  I just don't want to keep adding to the Library every time I switch to a new addon.

I used to use library integration and loved it at the time.  Since then, I've moved to using Trakt.tv to keep all my favorite shows and watched status in sync.

Anyway, when I used library integration, I remember that I could add to library from multiple add-ons, but it wasn't clear which library item was for which add-on.  I think it duplicated the library items at that time.  I don't know if it changed by now.

However, based on the goal you're going for, I suggest you look at Chappa'ai to have one browsing experience that allows you to choose any of the compatible add-ons to play something...
