How do I replicate the way you hooked the Kodi to your Xbox One?

I watched the video.. But couldn't find a step by step list of what htpc you used to get this to work.. I been trying to use my mac air but I have not had any luck.  If you can lead me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it...

In my tutorial, I explained that I use a Windows computer as my Home Theater PC, and I explained how to use a USB IR receiver with the Windows-only application called EventGhost to map IR commands with certain keystrokes.
 
With a Mac, there may be another way to map IR commands (assuming you have a USB IR receiver) with a Mac, but I wouldn't know how.
 
Regardless, you don't have to use the IR commands integration, but you can just plug in the Mac HDMI out to the Xbox One HDMI in to get Kodi to show through the Xbox One.
