Which Kodi add-on are you using?  I wrote a post a long time ago about the merging shows from streaming add-ons into the Kodi video library.  However, since then, that kind of functionality has been replace (in my mind) by add-ons like Exodus and SALTS that integrate with Trakt.tv.
